Jesus Christ, as described in Christian theology, was not merely a Jew in the ethnic or religious sense, Jesus was the divine Son of God, the second person of the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), who took on human form through the incarnation.

The History of Jesus Christ:

While he was born into a Jewish family in Bethlehem, raised in Nazareth, and lived within Jewish cultural and legal contextsโ€”such as observing festivals and teaching in synagoguesโ€”Jesus Christ, transcends human ethnicity or heritage.

His virgin birth by the Holy Spirit meant he had no earthly biological father from the line of Judah in the usual sense; instead, he was eternally begotten of the Father, fully God and fully man.

This divine nature as the Godhead figure (part of the triune God) supersedes any categorization as “a Jew,” since God is spirit and not bound by human tribal or national identities.

Thus, emphasizing his Jewish background risks diminishing the profound truth that Jesus is the eternal Son of God, who came to fulfill and transcend the law and prophets, offering salvation to all humanity beyond ethnic boundaries.

Christians, your kingdom is not on this earth. Your kingdom is in heaven, in the afterlife.

(Ephesians 6:12 – NIV): “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms”

“We wrestle not against flesh and blood” comes from Ephesians 6:12. It teaches that our real struggle is not against people, but against spiritual forces of evilโ€”rulers, authorities, and powers of darkness in the heavenly realms. This is why believers must put on the full armor of God to stand firm.

Your body is physical, the mind spiritual.

After his teachings; Jesus ascended back into Heaven.

The Message From Jesus Christ: Love, Grace, and the Kingdom

This is what What Jesus Really Meant by โ€œFollow Meโ€. Repent, Believe, and Receive Eternal Life

The core message of Jesus Christ can be summed up in one revolutionary idea: Godโ€™s unconditional love for every human being is so profound that He personally entered human history to rescue us from sin, death, and separation from Him. Jesus taught that the Kingdom of God is near, calling people to repent (turn from self-centered living), believe in the good news, and follow Him.

He revealed that the greatest commandments are to love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strengthโ€”and to love our neighbor as ourselvesโ€”even extending that love to enemies and outsiders. Through His sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross, and bodily resurrection, He demonstrated that forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and eternal life are freely offered as a gift of grace to anyone who trusts in Him, regardless of their past. In essence, Jesusโ€™ message is an open invitation: โ€œCome to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you restโ€ (Matthew 11:28)โ€”a call to be transformed by divine love and to live as agents of that same love in a broken world.

The Apocrypha: The Missing Books From The Bible

Why did the Vatican and Church remove the Apocrypha books from the bible? What were they hiding?

The Apocrypha, not The Antikythera, refers to a collection of ancient religious writings, primarily from the period between the Old and New Testaments (roughly 200 BCE to 100 CE), that are not included in the standard Jewish or Protestant biblical canons but are regarded as deuterocanonical (secondary canon) by Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox churches.

These texts, such as Tobit, Judith, Wisdom of Solomon, Sirach (Ecclesiasticus), Baruch, 1 and 2 Maccabees, and additions to Esther and Daniel, offer historical accounts of Jewish life under Hellenistic rule, wisdom literature, moral teachings, and stories of faith and martyrdom; they were part of the Greek Septuagint translation of the Hebrew Scriptures used by early Christians. While Protestants typically view them as useful for instruction but not divinely inspired or authoritative for doctrineโ€”often placing them in a separate intertestamental section or omitting them entirelyโ€”the Apocrypha provides valuable insight into the religious, cultural, and theological context that bridges the two Testaments and influenced early Christian thought.

Another secret script found with the Dead Sea Scrolls is the Book of Enoch.

Why was the Book of Enoch hidden and kept a secret?

The Book of Enoch

The Book of Enoch (also known as 1 Enoch), an ancient Jewish apocalyptic text attributed to the biblical patriarch Enoch, is a composite work divided into five main sections that expand on Genesis narratives and explore cosmic mysteries through visions, journeys to heaven, and prophetic revelations. It details the fall of the Watchers (angels who descended to earth, mated with human women, taught forbidden knowledge, and produced the giant Nephilim), leading to widespread corruption, violence, and the moral necessity of the Genesis flood as divine judgment on sin.

Enoch, taken up to heaven, receives tours of celestial realms, astronomical secrets, and eschatological insights, including the fate of souls, the origins of demons from the spirits of the slain giants, and vivid descriptions of coming judgment on the wicked. The book’s core message centers on the inevitability of divine justiceโ€”where the righteous who remain faithful amid tribulation will ultimately be vindicated, rewarded with eternal peace and blessingโ€”while the ungodly, oppressors, and fallen angels face irreversible punishment. It emphasizes themes of righteousness versus wickedness, the cosmic battle between good and evil, hope for redemption through obedience to God, and the future arrival of a messianic figure (the “Son of Man” or “Chosen One”) who will execute judgment, establish an eternal kingdom of righteousness, and usher in ultimate restoration for the elect.

It seems, The Book of Enoch was hidden and kept a secret to prevent ascension. The next reason was to protect ancient knowledge about the universe, ascending, and the real history of humans and mankind.

Ephesians 6:12. In the King James Version (KJV), says “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

Jesusโ€™ 40-Day Fast: Spiritual Power in the Wilderness

In the Bible, Jesus fasted for forty days and forty nights in the wilderness immediately after His baptism, as described in the Gospels of Matthew (4:1-2) and Luke (4:1-2). Led by the Holy Spirit into a desolate place to prepare for His ministry and to face temptation from the devil, He abstained completely from food during this periodโ€”“He ate nothing” (Luke 4:2)โ€”resulting in intense physical hunger by the end. The fast served as a time of spiritual focus, reliance on God’s word rather than physical sustenance (as Jesus later declared, quoting Deuteronomy, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God”), and supernatural preparation, echoing the extended fasts of Moses and Elijah in the Old Testament. This extraordinary act of self-denial highlighted Jesus’ complete dependence on the Father amid severe testing, setting an example of spiritual discipline before He began His public ministry.

Was Jesus a Breatharian? Examining the 40-Day Fast

Jesus’ 40-day fast in the wilderness, where He ate nothing and experienced genuine hunger afterward (Matthew 4:2; Luke 4:2), represents an intense but temporary period of abstinence from food for spiritual preparation, dependence on God, and victory over temptation. This biblical account emphasizes reliance on “every word that comes from the mouth of God” rather than physical bread, highlighting a profound spiritual discipline rather than a permanent rejection of nourishment. Jesus’ fast was miraculous in its duration and purposeโ€”sustained by divine strength amid severe testingโ€”but it ended with Him eating normally afterward, affirming the value of food in human life while subordinating bodily needs to spiritual priorities. This event serves as a model for Christian fasting as a voluntary, limited practice to draw closer to God, not as evidence of indefinite survival without sustenance.

Breatharianism interprets verses such as “man shall not live by bread alone” or claims of mystical Christian saints with extreme fasts as support for transcending physical food entirely.

The 40 Days Jesus Proved He Was Alive

Jesusโ€™ 40 Days After Resurrection: Appearances That Changed Everything.

Christians believe that after his resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples and others over a period of 40 days, as stated in Acts 1:3, where he presented himself alive by many convincing proofs, appeared to them repeatedly, and spoke about the kingdom of God. These appearances began on the day of his resurrection (Easter Sunday) and included encounters such as with Mary Magdalene at the tomb (John 20:11-18), with two disciples on the road to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-35), with Peter individually (Luke 24:34; 1 Corinthians 15:5), with the disciples (without Thomas) in a locked room in Jerusalem that evening (Luke 24:36-43; John 20:19-23), and then a week later with Thomas present to address his doubts by showing his wounds (John 20:26-29). Other appearances occurred, such as to seven disciples by the Sea of Galilee where he reinstated Peter and shared a meal (John 21), and to over 500 believers at once (1 Corinthians 15:6), demonstrating his bodily resurrection through actions like eating, being touched, and conversing to dispel any notion that he was a spirit or hallucination.

During these 40 days, Jesus also appeared to his half-brother James (1 Corinthians 15:7) and provided further teachings and instructions to the apostles, expounding on how the Scriptures pointed to him, fulfilling prophecies about his suffering, death, and resurrection (Luke 24:44-48), and commissioning them to be witnesses of these events to all nations, promising the Holy Spirit’s empowerment (Acts 1:4-8; Matthew 28:18-20). He emphasized the kingdom of God, prepared his followers for their future mission, and offered final proofs of his victory over death before leading them out to the Mount of Olives near Bethany, where he blessed them and ascended into heaven (Luke 24:50-53; Acts 1:9-11). This period solidified the disciples’ faith, transformed their fear into bold proclamation, and laid the foundation for the early church’s growth.

The Death of Jesus Christ

Christians believe that Jesus Christ died by crucifixion on a Friday (traditionally called Good Friday) during the Passover season, around AD 30 or AD 33, at about 3 p.m., as a sacrifice for humanity’s sins according to the Scriptures.

Saint Dionysius the Areopagite was originally from Athens, where he received a classical Greek education. He later traveled to Egypt to study astronomy in the city of Heliopolis. Heliopolis means city of the sun.

There, together with his friend Apollophonos, Saint Dionysius observed a remarkable solar eclipse that coincided precisely with the moment of Jesus Christ’s crucifixion and death.

At the exact time of Christ’s death on the cross (around the ninth hour, or about 3 PM), the sky darkened unnaturally for about three hours. This aligns with the Gospel description in the Bible:

  • Matthew 27:45: “From the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land until the ninth hour.”
  • Mark 15:33 and Luke 23:44โ€“45 similarly describe darkness covering the earth/land, with Luke noting the sun’s light failing (or “eclipse” in some ancient manuscripts).

Deeply moved by this unnatural event, Dionysius reportedly exclaimed, “Either the Creator of all the world now suffers, or this visible world is coming to an end.” After returning to Athens from Egypt, he was appointed as a member of the Areopagus Council, the prestigious Athenian high court. When the Apostle Paul preached on the Hill of Ares (as described in Acts 17:16โ€“34), Dionysius embraced the Gospel message, converted to Christianity, and became one of Paul’s converts.

This statement show shows a key Christian theme: the Jesus Christ crucifixion was not merely a historical execution but a cosmic event with universal implications. For Dionysius, an educated pagan philosopher-astronomer, the unnatural darkness served as empirical proof that something transcendent was occurringโ€”either God Himself was entering into suffering for humanity’s sake, or creation was collapsing.

The crucifixion of Jesus Christ (around AD 30โ€“33) is described in detail in the four canonical Gospels of the New Testament (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), which collectively name or describe several categories of witnesses present at Golgotha (the site of the crucifixion, called Calvary). These accounts portray a public execution outside Jerusalem, with crowds, officials, soldiers, and a smaller group of Jesus’ followers nearby.

The Gospels provides accounts on who witnessed the Jesus Christ crucifixion. Many people observed from a distance, while a few were closer (especially near the cross itself).

  • Close to the cross (standing nearby, as per John 19:25โ€“27):
    • Mary (the mother of Jesus).
    • Mary Magdalene.
    • Mary the wife of Clopas (or Cleopas; sometimes identified as Jesus’ mother’s sister or a relative).
    • The “disciple whom Jesus loved” (traditionally identified as the Apostle John, the only male disciple explicitly present at the foot of the cross).

Roman soldiers said:

  • The centurion (Roman officer in charge) who, after Jesus’ death, declared, “Truly this was the Son of God” (or “Certainly this man was innocent”; Mark 15:39, Matthew 27:54, Luke 23:47).
  • Other soldiers who crucified him, cast lots for his garments, and guarded the site.

Others present:

  • Two criminals crucified alongside Jesus (one mocked him, the other defended him and received a promise of paradise; Luke 23:39โ€“43).
  • Crowds, including religious leaders (chief priests, scribes, elders) who mocked him from afar (Matthew 27:41โ€“43, Mark 15:29โ€“32, Luke 23:35).
  • Passersby and onlookers in general, as it was a public execution along a road (Matthew 27:39).

Tacitus (Roman historian, ca. AD 116): Notes that “Christus… suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of… Pontius Pilate” (Annals 15.44).

Josephus (Jewish historian, ca. AD 93): Refers to Jesus being condemned to the cross by Pilate (Antiquities 18.3.3; though parts may have later Christian interpolations, the core reference to crucifixion is widely accepted).

Other brief mentions: The Babylonian Talmud (later Jewish text) alludes to “Yeshu” being executed (hanged/crucified) on the eve of Passover. Lucian (Greek satirist, 2nd century) mocks Christians for worshiping a “crucified sage.”

Africanus describes a widespread darkness, an earthquake that split rocks, and destruction in Judea and elsewhere, linking it to Christ’s death. Africanus also said that a solar eclipse is impossible during a full moon (Passover/full moon timing of the crucifixion), when the moon is on the opposite side of Earth from the sun. He saw it as a supernatural event (“a darkness induced by God”)

Thallus reportedly explained this darkness as a solar eclipse (“This darkness Thallus, in the third book of his History, calls… an eclipse of the sun. Like Thallus, Phlegon called it an eclipse, but Christian interpreters (e.g., Origen, Africanus) noted the impossibility during a full moon, suggesting it was miraculous rather than natural.

Modern scholars say a true solar eclipse is astronomically impossible at full moon (Passover timing).

After the death of Jesus, his body was buried in a new tomb owned by Joseph of Arimathea, where it was wrapped in linen cloths with spices and sealed with a large stone, fulfilling prophecies and confirming he was truly dead.

On the third dayโ€”early on Sunday morning (Easter Sunday)โ€”Jesus rose bodily from the dead, conquering death and sin, as affirmed in the core Christian creed that “Christ died for our sins… was buried… and rose again the third day according to the Scriptures” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4).

Following the resurrection of Jesus, Jesus appeared to his disciples and others over a period of 40 days, after which he ascended bodily into heaven in their sight, For Jesus to sit at the right hand of God, the Father, the ascension of Jesus is described as in a glorified, spiritual form no longer bound by earthly limitations.

Father, Son, holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ ascended back into spiritual form.

Saint Michael: The Angelic Warrior Who Cast Satan from Heaven

Saint Michael: Battling Demons, Guiding Souls to Heaven.

‘Saint Michael Vanquishing Satan’: There are many paintings of Saint Michael in history, but this one is the best.

The warrior who casts Satan and his forces out of heavenโ€”Michael embodies divine courage, justice, and protection.

In the Book of Revelation, Saint Michael the Archangel emerges as a pivotal figure in the cosmic battle between good and evil, embodying the archetype of the divine warrior. Described in Revelation 12:7-9, Michael leads the heavenly host in a fierce confrontation against Satan, depicted as a great dragon, and his rebellious angels. This apocalyptic war culminates in Michael’s triumphant victory, casting Satan and his forces out of heaven and hurling them down to earth. This narrative underscores Michael’s role as God’s champion, highlighting themes of divine authority and the inexorable defeat of chaos. His intervention not only restores order in the celestial realm but also serves as a prophetic assurance to believers that ultimate justice will prevail, inspiring countless interpretations in theology, art, and literature across centuries.

Saint Michael personifies divine courage, justice, and protection, qualities that have made him a revered intercessor in Christian spirituality. His courage is evident in his fearless stand against overwhelming evil, refusing to yield even in the face of primordial rebellion. Justice flows from his unwavering commitment to God’s will, acting as an executor of divine judgment without partiality.

As a protector, Michael shields the faithful from spiritual perils, often invoked in prayers like the Saint Michael Prayer composed by Pope Leo XIII in 1886, which beseeches him to defend against the wickedness and snares of the devil. These attributes elevate him beyond a mere angelic being to a symbol of moral fortitude, reminding devotees that true strength lies in alignment with heavenly principles. As a spiritual warrior, Saint Michael is eternally engaged in battling demonic forces, a role that extends into the personal lives of believers. In Catholic tradition, he is seen as the adversary of Satan, actively combating temptations, possessions, and spiritual attacks that threaten souls. Beyond warfare, Saint Michael serves as a compassionate escort for souls at the hour of death, guiding them through the transition from earthly life to the afterlife. This psychopomp function, a merciful guardian who weighs souls or intercedes for mercy. A psychopomp, pronounced SY-koh-pomp, is a supernatural beingโ€”often a deity, spirit, angel, or otherworldly guideโ€”whose primary role is to escort or accompany the souls of the recently deceased from the realm of the living to the afterlife or the domain of the dead. The word itself originates from ancient Greek, combining “psyche” (ฯˆฯ…ฯ‡ฮฎ), meaning soul, breath, or life, with “pompos” (ฯ€ฮฟฮผฯ€ฯŒฯ‚), meaning guide, conductor, or escort. Thus, a psychopomp is literally a “guide of souls” or “conductor of souls.” Unlike figures who judge or determine the fate of the deceased, psychopomps focus solely on facilitating the safe passage of the soul for god’s judgement, across the boundary between life and death, often appearing in liminal spaces such as crossroads, rivers, or thresholds.

He also safeguards the faithful from harm, whether physical dangers or moral pitfalls, fostering a sense of security amid life’s uncertainties and reinforcing the belief in angelic intervention.

Often depicted in art as a majestic armored angel wielding a flaming sword or lance, Saint Michael triumphantly subdues the dragon or Satan underfoot, a motif immortalized in works like Guido Reni’s 17th-century painting or the statue atop Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome. This iconography, drawing from biblical imagery, symbolizes his dominion over evil and inspires prayers for strength in spiritual warfare, such as the Chaplet of Saint Michael. Ultimately, he represents unwavering loyalty to God and the victory of good over evil, a timeless emblem that encourages perseverance in faith, reminding humanity that light inevitably overcomes darkness through divine grace.

Saint Michael Cast Satan From Heaven. From Heaven.

What Happened to Souls Before Jesus Christ Came?

The Afterlife Before the Gospel: Sheol Explained

Where Did Spirits and souls Go Before Christ’s Arrival? According to mainstream Christian biblical teaching, before Jesus Christ came to earth, died, and rose again, the spirits (souls) of the dead went to a realm called Sheol (in Hebrew) or Hades (in Greek), the abode of the dead. This place was divided into two parts separated by a great chasm: a place of comfort and rest known as paradise or Abraham’s bosom for the righteous who died in faith (awaiting the promised Messiah), and a place of torment for the wicked. No one entered the full presence of God in heaven until Christ’s atonement opened the way, after which believers’ spirits go directly to be with the Lord.
