On February 10, 2026, a tragic shooting occurred at a home on Fallcrest Circle (reported as 4822 Fallcrest Circle or sometimes Fall Crest Circle) in the gated Amberlea neighborhood of Sarasota, Florida, near the intersection of Proctor Road and McIntosh Road.

Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of shots fired around 12:30 p.m. and discovered multiple victims inside the residence, with authorities confirming there were no survivors from the incident. Officials described the event as an isolated shooting confined to the single home, with a weapon recovered at the scene and all individuals accounted for, posing no ongoing threat to the public. Neighbors in the typically peaceful community expressed shock and horror at the violence erupting so close to home, with one longtime resident calling it “horrible” in a normally safe, gated area. The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances behind the deadly event.
