Built in 1963, the Oscar-01 MAF was deemed eligible for the National Register of Historic Places by the Missouri State Historic Preservation Office in 1998. It includes a one-story surface Launch Control Support Building (LCSB) and two subsurface reinforced concrete and steel pods—a Launch Control Center (LCC) and Launch Control Equipment Building (LCEB)—linked by a Tunnel Junction and accessible via elevator.
