Joe Kent to Testify for Tyler Robinson in Charlie Kirk Assassination Trial
On September 10, 2025, conservative activist Charlie Kirk was assassinated while speaking at an outdoor event organized by Turning Point USA at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The shooting occurred around 12:23 p.m. MDT in front of approximately 3,000 attendees as Kirk was answering a question about mass shootings and gun violence. A single rifle shot fired from the roof of a nearby building struck Kirk in the neck, leading to his death shortly after he was rushed to a local hospital. The accused shooter, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, surrendered to authorities the following day after a brief manhunt.
