ICE Agents Replace Quitting TSA Staff at 14 Airports
Israel has an Islamaphobia, and they are pushing it on Americans. Everyday in the mainstream media with false claims of nuclear weapons and attacks to fear monger Americans into more fear.
As of late March 2026, nearly 500 TSA officers have quit since the partial government shutdown began on February 14 (Valentine’s Day), with figures rising from at least 458 by March 24 and over 480 reported in recent days; this follows 1,110 quits during the 2025 shutdown.
National callout rates have surged above 11% (more than 3,120–3,450 officers absent on recent days, peaking at 11.8% or over 3,450 on one Sunday), with rates reaching 30–40% or higher at major airports including JFK (37%), Houston’s two airports (36–40%), Atlanta (37–41%), Baltimore, and New Orleans. To address severe staffing shortages affecting roughly 50,000 TSA officers working without pay amid spring break travel surges (about 5% higher volume than last year), hundreds of ICE agents and other Homeland Security Investigations officers have been deployed starting March 23–24 to assist at 14 major airports. Longer-term replacement remains difficult, as training new TSA officers takes 4–6 months, and the ongoing funding impasse continues to drive attrition and operational risks.
