Antifa Protest at Portland Oregon ICE Facility. At least 4 arrested by federal officers outside Portland’s ICE facility as tensions flare.
Antifa activists have been protesting outside ICE facilities since at least 2018, when a notable attack occurred at a Tacoma, Washington detention center, but the current wave intensified in Portland, Oregon, starting in early June 2025 amid opposition to federal immigration policies.
In Portland, these demonstrations have persisted nearly every night for over 100 consecutive days, turning the ICE facility into a focal point of nightly occupations, clashes with federal agents, and property damage.
By late September 2025, the violent protests marked more than 107 days in a row, with black-clad militants using megaphones, barricades, and projectiles to harass officers and block operations, leading to a reported 1,000% surge in assaults on ICE personnel. Despite occasional arrests and federal reinforcements, the relentless daily actions—spanning from vandalism to doxxing threats—have strained local law enforcement and prompted President Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops to the site.
