A recent study from Spain has shed light on the deceptive marketing of many so-called ‘high-protein’ foods. The research analyzed a variety of products commonly found in supermarkets and gyms, revealing that while these items advertise high protein content, they often come with a hefty price tag of fats, sodium, and sugars. The findings suggest that consumers, particularly those relying on these foods for fitness or health goals, might be inadvertently consuming much more than just protein.
