Catastrophic Coup Rocks South Korea’s Election: Are Foreign Powers Pulling the Strings?

So what is happening in with the South Korean elections?

South Korean elections, both presidential and legislative, are pivotal events in the country’s democratic process, characterized by high voter turnout and intense political engagement. The presidential election, held every five years, features a single-term presidency, ensuring a constant churn of leadership, while the National Assembly elections occur every four years. These elections are often a referendum on the incumbent’s performance, with the 2024 legislative elections highlighting significant public discontent over economic policies, healthcare reforms, and political scandals.

Well, simply put 1/3 to 2/3 of the protestors are said to have been flown in from China to protest the current South Korean administration and President.

In a dramatic political upheaval, South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol faced significant public and political backlash after attempting to impose martial law, an action that was quickly revoked amidst widespread protests and parliamentary opposition. This event, which unfolded in early December 2024, has led to calls for Yoon’s resignation or impeachment. A Pro American President.
