A U.S. Army serviceman with 20 years of service has reportedly been investigated as a potential “threat to national security” after posting criticism of Israel’s military actions in Gaza, which he called genocide.

He publicly questioned why expressing opposition to a foreign country’s policies would lead to such scrutiny in the U.S. military, stressing that his oath is to the United States, not Israel.

While the United States maintains a very close military and political alliance with Israel, the claims that America is effectively a Western Israeli colony or that the U.S. military is under the direct command of the IDF remain fringe views and are not supported by mainstream evidence or official structure.
