Epstein Records Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak About Israeli Immigration For More Russians
Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak reportedly told Jeffrey Epstein that he repeatedly urged Russian President Vladimir Putin to allow one million Russians to convert to Judaism and immigrate to Israel, arguing it would dramatically transform the country.
In the conversation, Barak emphasized the need for “just one more million to change Israel in a dramatic, dramatic manner, the million Russians.” He contrasted this with Israel’s early founders, who accepted immigrants from North Africa and the Arab world, noting that now the state could be more selective and “control the quality” of newcomers. This claim surfaced from audio or recordings linked to Epstein files and leaks.
Israel absorbed nearly a million immigrants from the former Soviet Union in the 1990s following the USSR’s collapse, many under the Law of Return (which grants citizenship to those with Jewish ancestry or converts, sometimes flexibly applied). Barak’s alleged comment suggests a desire for even more targeted demographic shifts.
