Shawn Ryan: Redacting Epstein Files & Names Protects the Criminals
Ex Navy Seal, Shawn Ryan, host of the popular Shawn Ryan Show podcast, has sharply criticized the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, accusing authorities of deliberately shielding perpetrators by redacting key names in released documents.
In recent clips and episodes, Ryan highlighted that while some survivor names have been disclosed—potentially exposing victims—the identities of those who allegedly abused them remain heavily redacted or withheld, particularly in critical FBI 302 interview forms that detail victim and witness statements.
He described this selective approach as “legitimately, proactively protecting pedophiles,” arguing that the limited releases (less than one percent of the total files, according to his discussions with figures like Rep. Ro Khanna) amount to obstruction of justice and prioritize protecting rich, powerful, and politically connected individuals over transparency and accountability for child exploitation crimes. Ryan’s comments, amplified across social media and his platforms, reflect growing frustration with what he sees as systemic cover-ups in the Epstein case.
