Wolff to Epstein: “War Between Jews and Non-Jews…”
In a April 5, 2017, email exchange from recently released Jeffrey Epstein documents (part of 2025–2026 batches via House Oversight Committee and DOJ), journalist Michael Wolff (author of Fire and Fury) replied to Jeffrey Epstein forwarding a Bloomberg article about Steve Bannon’s removal from the National Security Council in a White House shake-up.
Wolff’s terse response: “War between the Jews and the non Jews. Jews presently winning.” (with typos: “winn=ng” and “non Jews”).

This appears to frame Bannon’s ouster—amid reported tensions with Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump (both Jewish)—as part of an ethnic/religious power struggle in the Trump administration, echoing a similar quote attributed to Henry Kissinger in Wolff’s own book describing White House infighting as “a war between the Jews and the non-Jews.”
The email is part of a longer, multi-year correspondence between Wolff and Epstein, which has drawn scrutiny for ethical concerns over Wolff’s interactions with Epstein while covering Trump. No further context or reply from Epstein is shown in this snippet, but the remark has fueled online discussion and conspiracy angles in the files’ public releases, though it remains a brief, unsubstantiated opinion from Wolff rather than evidence of any coordinated “war.”
