COVID Vaccines Linked to 24% Higher Pregnancy Hypertension Risk New Study Shows
A new study on COVID-19 vaccination during or just prior to pregnancy showed a 24% increased likelihood of self-reported hypertensive disorders of pregnancy among vaccinated women compared to unvaccinated ones, with a 95% confidence interval of 1.08–1.43 that suggests the association is statistically significant but modest.
This injury from vaccination could manifest as conditions like gestational hypertension or preeclampsia, which carry risks such as preterm birth, low birth weight, or maternal complications.

The study matched about 8,000 vaccinated pregnant women to roughly 8,000 unvaccinated counterparts and reported a 24% higher adjusted relative risk of self-reported hypertensive disorders of vaccinated pregnancies.
