On February 19, 2026, President Donald Trump announced via a post on Truth Social that he is directing the Secretary of Defense (referred to as Secretary of War in his statement), the Pentagon, and other relevant federal agencies to begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), unidentified flying objects (UFOs), and any connected information. This directive came amid heightened public interest sparked by recent comments from former President Barack Obama suggesting aliens are real, which Trump criticized as potentially disclosing classified information. Trump emphasized the “tremendous interest shown” in these topics, describing them as “highly complex, but extremely interesting and important,” while noting he personally doesn’t know if extraterrestrials exist. The announcement has reignited widespread speculation and excitement about potential government transparency on long-standing mysteries surrounding unexplained phenomena.

Earlier this week, Obama says aliens are real in a video interview, then redacted it, a few days later, President Trump said that Obama shared ‘classified’ information, Now President Trump says will release all the Alien UFO files.

We hope you enjoyed the joke, but when the real UFO files are released and look like that, with one or two words on the entire document, you might get mad.
