Day 32: Sky News Reporter Explains Why Trump Is Losing in Iran
🚨BREAKING NEWS ✅ Day 32: Trumps Iran “War” for Israel Update
A Sky News reporter, Dominic Waghorn, became the only UK television journalist reporting from inside Iran since the US-led conflict began. He spent a week in Tehran sheltering with civilians amid US precision bombing, witnessing scenes of destruction including injured children in hospital and the funeral of security chief Ali Larijani.
Waghorn described a terrified population facing food shortages, constant fear of strikes, and when the U.S. military cut off the internet then started broadcasting propaganda on state TV.
He noted that while some Iranians criticized their government off-camera, they primarily blamed the US and its allies for the deaths and chaos.
Waghorn argued that the bombardment has backfired on the US strategy. Instead of sparking a popular uprising against the Iranian regime as hoped, the attacks have united ordinary Iranians against the external enemy.
He highlighted Iran’s deep “culture of resistance,” which makes it highly resistant to outside-imposed change, and pointed out that the leadership had long prepared for such a scenario, with replacements quickly stepping in after assassinations. Civilians, he said, direct their anger at the attackers rather than their own hardline government, especially when living in fear for their families.
The reporter concluded that President Trump will ultimately lose in this conflict due to a lack of a viable Plan B after miscalculating Iran’s resilience. Trump’s statements have been contradictory, claiming victory and regime change while the reality has strengthened a more hardline Iranian stance. Waghorn suggested the US is now seeking an off-ramp, as Iran holds strategic cards like control over the Strait of Hormuz and the ability to disrupt global oil supplies, turning the prolonged air war into a strategic disadvantage for America.
